Recent US Poker room closures
With the recent shake up in the online gambling world American casino players are rightly nervous of what will happen next.
The DOJ with the assistance of the FBI closed the top online poker rooms that had accepted players from the USA for the last five years since the UIGEA had attempted to stop the money flow.
While this situation is still being resolved, casino players do not really know where they stand in relation to being able to fund their online casino accounts. Thankfully, the poker sites that were closed did not have any online casino products so no casino gamblers should have been affected.
Some poker sites do have online casinos too - one example of a US facing poker site with a casino is Bodog, who also have a sport book.
There is currently very little information available about the status of American friendly online casinos. There has been a noticeable lack of statements from concerned online sites. That is to be expected at this early stage I suppose, and I also imagine that as time goes on things will become a lot more clear.
Unfortunately, at this stage we must just wait and see.
